ABOUT
Who we are...
The demanding pace of projects today requires the highest level of skill, experience, planning and commitment for successful project execution. Monarch Construction has one principal owner, Tom Stocksdale. Tom has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. After graduating from Georgia Tech with both a BS and MS in Civil Engineering, Tom went to work for The George Hyman Company (the predecessor to Clark Construction). Tom worked for Hyman as a Project Manager, and then subsequently for several other ENR 100 General Contractors as Project Manager and ultimately as a Senior Vice President and Division Manager. Tom made the decision to form Monarch in 1999 in order to streamline the way that projects are executed and delivered. Monarch’s project teams have the resources and authority to properly and effectively manage their assignments. Experience, collaboration and willingness to listen sets Monarch’s teams apart from its competitors. However, those factors are not enough; it is attitude, from top down, that always makes the biggest difference. Monarch brings to every project a commitment to provide an unsurpassed level of service fueled by a take-charge, self-initiated, roll-up-the-sleeves approach and management style.
We believe that people make the difference in defining a successful project. In an industry where materials and equipment are often shared commodities, the people chosen to manage those commodities become the determining factor in a successful project. When you choose Monarch as your construction partner you will always receive the immediate attention of a team specifically tailored to your project requirements. It is important that we place estimators, project managers, superintendents, etc. with relevant experience in positions of authority to deliver projects within your cost and schedule objectives. Our project team personnel have an average of over eighteen years of project experience.
Each project begins with an interactive dialogue involving all team members. We recognize the importance of listening with the intent to clearly understand the client’s objectives. What are your goals? When are they expected? Our mission is to work closely with each client’s management team, becoming a seamless extension of the client’s organization. We understand that down time reduces profit, and you deserve a return on your investment. Therefore, when we establish project controls, define subcontractor packages, evaluate and distribute contract documents, administer, monitor and inspect each project phase, we do so as your representative continually seeing the project through your eyes. Your concerns, goals, objectives and deadlines become ours. At Monarch Construction, integrity is the cornerstone of our commitment, and the foundation of our project partnership with each client. We look forward to the future with excitement and optimism. We hope that you will be a part of that exciting future with us.
